A new
tire grading EU label provides important information concerning the aspects of safety and the impact of the
tire on the environment. Similarly as the energy efficiency label attached to kitchen appliances, the
tire EU label too, makes comparisons of
tires from the point of you of grip on wet surface, fuel saving and noise level, easier. For further information click on the links below.
Fuel efficiencyA measure of the tire’s rolling resistance, which has an impact on your vehicle’s fuel efficiency. Rated from A (highest rating) to G (lowest rating)
Wet gripA measure of the tire’s braking ability on wet roads. Wet grip is rated from A (highest rating) to F (lowest rating).
NoiseA measure of the external noise generated by the tyre, in decibels. The black sound waves indicate the noise class of the tyre, from 1 (quiet) to 3 (loud).
Where can we find the EU tyre label?
From November 2012, all new tires will display an EU tyre label sticker. If you can’t find the label on a tire you should ask your dealer, as he or she is obliged to provide this information. EU ratings are also displayed for each tire on our website
